DNA Award – Because helping others is in our genes

On Wednesday, 26 November, our Foundation was awarded the Special Jury Prize during the evening gala of the ‘DNA - because helping is in our genes’ competition, organised as part of the 5th edition of the Polish Power of Business Congress.
In the laudation delivered during the Gala event to Aleksandra Friedel, we read the justification for the Award:
"The Start with Yourself Foundation was awarded the Special Jury Prize for its systematic approach to health and insurance education and for consistently combining these two areas into one coherent development programme.
The jury appreciated the innovative idea of Plan A + Plan B = Life and Health, thanks to which the Foundation has a real impact on the health and financial awareness of Poles, showing them how to take care of themselves in terms of lifestyle, preventive examinations and responsible security for the future."
The theme of this year's edition of the Competition was HEALTH, and the nominated projects stood out for their particular commitment to prevention, patient support and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
"I am extremely proud and moved at the same time. This award is particularly valuable to me because the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, an organisation with enormous recognition and a long history, was also recognised in the same category. We are just starting out, which is why we are all the more pleased that our approach has been noticed. I was on stage, but this award is not the achievement of one person, but of the entire team at the Start with Yourself Foundation. It is the result of our joint work, heart, daily commitment, and I am extremely grateful for that!
This distinction sends us a clear message: what we are doing is necessary and it works. That is why we are moving forward: faster, bolder and even more effectively. The Parliament (Sejm) of the Republic of Poland has designated 2026 as the Year of Health Prevention. We will make the most of this time and do even more good things under the banner of the Foundation." - said Aleksandra Friedel, President of the Foundation, on the occasion of the Award Ceremony.
